Don't Underestimate Me

I did this the end of last year/beginning of this year. I'm SO happy and proud of the anatomy and poses. Nightwing took several tries to get right. And after years of working and improving on my anatomy/style, I realized I hadn't worked at all on my colouring and I was very displeased with the cell shading (to the point where I wouldn't even bother colouring my pictures because I felt it would greatly reduce the quality of the artwork). I want to grow and move to softer, more realistic shading. So I used this as an excuse to practice. It's not perfect but it's definitely a big improvement and a step in the right direction.

I waited to post this specifically because it was so good, I REALLY REALLY wanted to give it a background. But after months of failed attempts I eventually gave up. I decided to go ahead and post it, since I spent so much time on it, I felt it would kind of be a waste not to. I love these two~ Also, I'm sorry but I just can't get myself to colour Nightwing in red. It just doesn't suit him. I like the Red Hoods New 52 outfit though, it's pretty sleek.
